A fatal crash involving a semi-truck took place on Interstate 90 near Wisconsin Dells, last Saturday.
At around 1:30 a.m., the Wisconsin State Patrol officers were dispatched to the scene after receiving a report of a collision on I-90. According to the report, a Freightliner semi-truck was traveling on the eastbound lane of the interstate when it veered off the road and crashed into a guard rail. The truck continued on a ditch line and struck a couple of trees.
The impact of the collision sent the guard rail onto the highway, causing another collision involving two vehicles. The driver of the truck was pronounced dead at the scene. He was later identified as 42-year-old Koshin Mohamed Omar.
Two drivers, a 33-year-old Pardeeville woman and a 39-year-old Milwaukee woman, sustained injuries that were considered minor. It was not determined if they were taken to a hospital for treatment.
