Authorities are still investigating an accident involving snowmobiles that injured two people at the Ironwood Snowmobile Olympus in Wisconsin.

According to initial report, the victims were participating in a race at the Ironwood Snowmobile Olympus when the tragic accident took place. The impact of the collision injured both racers, who were identified as Blaine Stephenson and Matt Goede.

Stephenson sustained facial injuries, including broken nose, facial fractures, and bruises near his forehead. Goede, on the other hand, suffered from broken leg and knee cap. He also suffered from multiple compound fracture to his pelvis. Both were transported to a local hospital in Wausau for treatment.

Investigators were called onto the scene to determine liability.
