Why was the DePuy Artificial Hip Recalled

In August of 2010, DePuy Orthopedics recalled its ASR metal-on-metal hip implants.  Metal particles can flake off this device and be absorbed into your blood stream causing a loosening of your implant swelling, pain, and difficulty walking. These problems can arise years after your surgery. The recall means that many patients who have already gone through one surgery to replace their hip may have to undergo another surgery to replace the defective implant. If you had hip surgery after July of 2003 and received an ASR device, you may have a case against DePuy Orthopedics. Habush Habush & Rottier has experience in handling these types of cases. We would be happy to evaluate your claim.

If you have a potentially defective DePuy ASR hip implant, do not hesitate to get in touch with a personal injury attorney from Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. ® at 800-242-2874.
