We’re proud to announce that Attorney Christine Esser of our Sheboygan location has been recognized as one of Wisconsin’s Top 50 Attorneys in 2025. This distinction is awarded by Super Lawyers, an independent rating service highlighting lawyers having earned a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process includes peer nominations, independent research, and evaluation by a panel of experts — ensuring that only the most accomplished and respected attorneys are recognized.

Christine has been practicing at Habush Habush & Rottier for 25 years. Serving clients in the Sheboygan area, she represents injured individuals in a variety of cases from automobile collisions to complex liability claims.  We asked Christine a few questions to share her perspective on personal injury law and offer guidance for those navigating the legal process.

What are some of the differences between resolving a personal injury claim outside of court and preparing a case for trial?

Some attorneys take in cases with a goal of getting it settled without having to file a lawsuit. Preparing every case like it’s going to trial means that you don’t put things off. You uncover every stone and understand the case fully. It might settle before it goes to trial, but if it doesn’t, you’re prepared to win.

What advice would you give someone searching for the right personal injury lawyer for their case?

There are three things I would consider.
  1. Does this law firm and the attorney specialize in personal injury law? You want an attorney, and their staff to be focused on one thing –helping you.
  2. Communication styles: Is the attorney willing to communicate in a way that’s best for you? Some people prefer letters, others prefer phone calls, and many prefer texts.
