Doug Swanson is a shareholder at the law firm and works out of the Waukesha, Racine, and Kenosha offices. Doug’s practice involves handling a wide variety of personal injury claims, including motor vehicle accidents, defective products, slips and falls, contractor negligence, landowner liability, dog bite claims, and nursing home accidents. He has successfully tried numerous cases in more than 10 different Wisconsin counties. Because of his trial experience, the National Board of Trial Advocacy certified him as a Civil Trial Specialist in 2001. He has also been selected to the Wisconsin Super Lawyers list since 2012.
Doug has given presentations on law and safety in many local high schools and has participated in educational events in conjunction with Law Day on several occasions. He has also been a very active member of the Waukesha County legal community as evidenced by his involvement in the Waukesha County Bar Association, where he served on the Board of Directors and is a Past President. He has held the offices of Treasurer, Secretary, Scholarship Committee Chairman, Legal Ethics Committee Chairman, and Bar Leaders Conference Representative and is a member of the Bench / Bar Liaison Committee of Waukesha County.
Doug graduated cum laude in 1987 from Illinois Wesleyan University with a B.A. and received his J.D. in 1990 from the University of Iowa. He is an active member of the Waukesha County Chamber of Commerce, the Pewaukee Chamber of Commerce, and the Waukesha Rotary Club. He is also on the Board of Directors for the Bell Tower Memorial Project. Doug and his family enjoy living and participating in the Waukesha County community.
