On November 30, 2018, Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. ® and Pines Bach LLP filed a complaint in Juneau County, Wisconsin on behalf of property owners affected by the Central Sands Dairy CAFO and Wysocki Produce Farm groundwater contamination. To see the complaint click here.

About

Central Sands Dairy is a large dairy Concentrated Animal Feeding Operation (CAFO) owned and/or operated by Wysocki Produce Farm. Central Sands Dairy houses 6,165 cows that will generate annually 37,500,200 gallons of liquid manure and wastewater and 14,472 tons of solid manure.

The CAFO spreads approximately 50 million gallons of liquid waste and 26,000 tons of solid waste onto the fields surrounding Central Sands Dairy. In addition to this manure, Wysocki spreads commercial fertilizers on its fields.

The lawsuit alleges that due to the Defendants’ manure spreading and commercial fertilizer applications, the groundwater residents depend on is contaminated with nitrates and other dangerous substances.
