Our firm’s motto is “National Reputation, Hometown Service.” As a recent recipient of the Racine County Sports Hall of Fame’s “Deep Roots” Community Service Award, I have been asked to comment on what “Hometown Service” means to me. As a Racine native and a lifetime resident, I am thrilled to practice law in the community I grew up in and continue to live in.
In choosing a personal injury lawyer, I think it is important to base your decision not only on an attorney’s education, experience and track record of success, but also on the attorney’s personality and accessibility. Living and working for Habush Habush & Rottier in my hometown for the past 35 years has afforded me the opportunity to meet with each of my clients personally and to be available not only by phone or text but also be only a short car ride away if an office visit is necessary. I am also able to travel to a client’s home if they are not able to travel for any reason. Hiring an attorney in your hometown assures accessibility and convenience but also guarantees that your hometown attorney will be familiar with the local laws, judges, opposing attorneys and court procedures. Living and working in Racine has also allowed me to interact with clients outside of their legal case whether it be at the grocery store, a restaurant, kids and/or grandkids’ sporting events and various community activities including the Racine parade or an Animal Crackers concert at the zoo. As I get older, my only challenge is trying to remember everyone’s name when I do see them in public!
I have been very blessed to be able to help the people of my community for so many years and plan on continuing to do so for several more years. I hope that my clients are appreciative of the fact that when you hire our firm, whether it is myself, Attorney Tony Dunn or Attorney Angela Komp in our Racine office (or an attorney in any one of our other 12 offices), they are getting an attorney that not only has a reputation for excellence but also an attorney who will be friendly and available to provide them with some good ole “hometown service!”
