We are proud to share that Whitney Healy, a civil litigation attorney based out of our Appleton office, has been appointed by Governor Tony Evers to serve as a judge on the Outagamie County Circuit Court – Branch 1. She will fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Judge Mark J. McGinnis and will serve a term ending July 31, 2027.
Governor Evers praised Whitney’s commitment to justice and her integrity, stating, “Whitney Healy is an experienced attorney who is committed to justice and will uphold the integrity of our judicial system. She will be an excellent judge for the people of Outagamie County.”
Whitney has been a valued member of our Appleton office where she has represented plaintiffs in cases involving personal injury, emotional trauma, and financial harm due to negligence or wrongdoing. Prior to joining Habush Habush & Rottier, she practiced in family law, civil rights litigation, employment law, and professional malpractice at Gingras, Thomsen & Wachs LLP in Madison.
Outagamie County Circuit Court Judge Emily Lonergan shared her support, saying, “Attorney Healy is intelligent, hard-working, and has an excellent demeanor. She will make a wonderful judge and will serve the citizens of Outagamie County well.”
Whitney is a graduate of Loras College and Valparaiso University School of Law. She has been actively involved in professional organizations including the Outagamie County Bar Association, the Wisconsin Association for Justice, and the Legal Association for Women.
Reflecting on her appointment, Whitney said, “It is an incredible honor to be appointed by Gov. Evers to serve on the Outagamie County Circuit Court. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of representing individuals during some of life’s most challenging and traumatic moments. That work has shaped my deep respect for the responsibility of our justice system.
