Laurence J. “Larry” Fehring is a shareholder and co-manager of Habush Habush & Rottier’s Milwaukee office. After more than four decades with the firm, Larry moved to semi-retirement in January 2026. He joined Habush in 1985 and built a career representing individuals and families in personal injury and general liability matters, with a particular focus on injuries and wrongful deaths resulting from motor vehicle accidents. His experience also includes cases involving pharmacy errors, pilot error, contractor negligence, nursing home and elder care abuse, and landowner liability. Over the course of his career, Larry tried cases throughout Wisconsin, with a significant portion of his practice focused in southeastern Wisconsin.

Larry is a Civil Trial Advocate certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, a designation he has held since 1995. He has also been a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates since 2009 and served as President of its Wisconsin Chapter in 2025. Larry has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America® from 2010 to 2027 and was named the 2022 Lawyer of the Year for Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiffs in Milwaukee. Larry has been selected to Super Lawyers® since 2005, including recognition as a Top 50 Wisconsin Super Lawyer since 2009 and a Top 25 Milwaukee Super Lawyer from 2011-2021 and 2025. He has also been recognized by Lawdragon among its 500 Leading Plaintiff Lawyers.

Throughout his career, Larry has contributed to the legal profession and his community through leadership, education, and service. He is a past president of the Marquette University Law School Alumni Association and a former member of the Marquette University Law School Alumni Advisory Board. He has taught trial advocacy at the University of Wisconsin Law School and has spoken to more than 40 high school, civic, and community groups about civil litigation. Larry has been involved with youth athletics, community organizations, and his church.

Larry earned his bachelor’s degree from Marquette University in 1980 and his J.D. from Marquette University Law School in 1983. He has remained active in the Wisconsin legal community through the State Bar of Wisconsin, Milwaukee Bar Association, Wisconsin Association for Justice, American Association for Justice, and the American Board of Trial Advocates.

Outside of his legal career, Larry enjoys running, kayaking, ice fishing, and spending time in Wisconsin’s Northwoods. He has completed three marathons and numerous relay races and enjoys spending time with his eight grandchildren.
