Sept. 26, 2024 — Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. is proud to announce that the U.S. Senate has confirmed Habush Attorney Byron Conway to serve as a federal judge for the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin.
Conway has been a personal injury attorney at Habush Habush & Rottier for 18 years and is a current shareholder. He has been active in the Wisconsin legal community, serving on the State Bar of Wisconsin’s Board of Governors (2013-18), the Brown County Bar Association Executive Committee, and as past president of the Brown County Young Lawyers Association. He has been recognized as a top-performing attorney, named as a Top 50 Attorney in Wisconsin by Super Lawyers in both 2014 and 2019, and in 2019, he earned the title of Civil Trial Specialist from the National Board of Trial Advocacy.
Conway’s nomination was recommended by the bipartisan Wisconsin Federal Nominating Commission, established by Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D) and Sen. Ron Johnson (R). Both Baldwin and Johnson affirmed their support for Conway earlier this summer by returning their blue slips on his nomination.
In a statement after the confirmation, Tammy Baldwin praised Conway’s qualifications, stating “The people of Wisconsin deserve to have qualified, experienced, impartial judges working for them – and I am confident that’s just what we will get with Byron Conway… and I look forward to seeing him faithfully serve Wisconsin’s Eastern District with fairness and distinction.”
Conway graduated from Marquette University Law School in 2002 and holds a B.A. in Journalism from Santa Clara University.
Conway’s nomination serves as a significant step for the Wisconsin Eastern District, and his experience as a distinguished Habush attorney will be a valuable asset to the federal judiciary.
